Empowerment, inclusion, social diversity and dignity are important principles to you ? You thrive in a collaborative and caring environment that encourages creativity and teamwork ?<\/p><p>The Roundhouse is a unique support program for Indigenous peoples, managed by L\u2019Itin\u00e9raire in collaboration with Indigenous organizations from Montreal. Indigenous participants can work daily shifts at the Roundhouse Cafe or participate in a months-long support and employment program.<\/p><p>What our team thinks of their experience: <br \/>\u201cWorking for L\u2019Itin\u00e9raire and the Roundhouse gives me pride knowing that we are giving opportunities to Indigenous peoples to engage in new experiences and supporting them on their path. We respond to important needs of vulnerable people within the Indigenous community in Montreal. We see that we make a big difference in the participants&#8217; lives, and we create important bonds. Each day, I have the chance to work with extraordinary people, hear and learn from their experiences, share mine, and support them in their life course. And all that while having fun!\u201d <br \/>&#8211; Tamara, social barista &#8211; Roundhouse program<\/p><p><strong>Your role:<\/strong> <br \/>Under the supervision of the project manager &#8211; Roundhouse Program and in collaboration with the rest of the support team, the Intervention Worker will support and train participants by accomplishing the following tasks:<\/p><ul><li>Provide psychosocial intervention to participants;<\/li><li>Organize and host culturally relevant activities and workshops for Indigenous participants (social intervention, employment, arts and culture, etc.);<\/li><li>Receive and evaluate the participants\u2019s socio-professional needs and opportunities;<\/li><li>In collaboration with the project manager, develop partnerships with employers to support participants in their return to employment;<\/li><li>Participate in the program\u2019s administration: write follow-up notes, prepare statistical and activity reports, compile work hours, etc.<\/li><li>Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations and communicate any changes or problems to the project manager;<\/li><li>Work closely with team members (project manager and other intervention workers);<\/li><li>Maintain an environment that reflects the Groupe communautaire L\u2019Itin\u00e9raire\u2019s values (a warm and respectful family atmosphere, empowerment, community-oriented and mutual support) in partnership with the team and ensure compliance to and respect of the organization\u2019s life code by participants;<\/li><li>Any other related tasks.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Your background, skills and strengths: <\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Empathy and listening skills<\/li><li>Adaptability, communication and conflict resolution skills Skillful at multitasking, demonstrate autonomy and initiatives<\/li><li>Fluently bilingual (French and English)<\/li><li>Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (Indigenous studies, social work, special education, career development, etc.)<\/li><li>1-3 years of relevant experience as an intervention worker with marginalized populations and people furthest from the labour market (with Indigenous people a great asset)<\/li><li>Good knowledge of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google tools (Drive)<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Working conditions:<\/strong><br \/>Working contract until March 31st, 2023 (possibility of extension) <br \/>35 hours\/week, day shift, <br \/>Monday to Friday, possibility of working evenings and weekends for special occasions <br \/>Salary: $22\/hr<\/p><p>We offer other incentives: collective insurance, payment of transportation costs and personal annual holidays, which include 2 weeks paid during the Winter Holidays<\/p><p><strong>Deadline to apply: June 17th, 2022<\/strong> <br \/>Expected starting date: As soon as possible <br \/><strong>Application process:<\/strong> Please email your resume and motivation letter to Marilou Maisonneuve, project manager \u2013 Roundhouse Program at <a href=\"mailto:marilou.maisonneuve@itineraire.ca\">marilou.maisonneuve@itineraire.ca<\/a>. <br \/>Only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
