In a bid to curb vandalism and graffiti, the Royal Montreal Curling Club has commissioned a renowned artist to create a mural.<\/p>\n<p>This project has been entrusted to Mateo, a French-born muralist who now makes Montreal his home. Inspired mainly by street art and collage, Mateo uses whatever materials best suit each work. His humanist approach is marked by a nostalgia for childhood as well as a romanticism that has largely disappeared from contemporary society.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to observe this work in progress, you can check out the wall of the RMCC at 1850 de Maisonneuve West.
