line-height: normal;\"><b><span style=\"font-size: 10.0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: Quicksand; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin;\">DESCRIPTION :<\/span><\/b><\/p><p>Working as part of the Peter McGill Community Council, the candidate will coordinate the youth and family committees (respectively referred to as the<em>Youth Action Committee<\/em> and <em>Families Downtown<\/em>).\u00a0<\/p><p><em>Families Downtown <\/em>and the<em> Youth Action Committee<\/em> bring together community organisations and institutions, targeting children and youth in the Peter-McGill neighbourhood (western area of the Ville-Marie borough), ages 0-12 and 12-30 respectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-67db2397 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"67db2397\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-24429699\" data-id=\"24429699\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-408e90af elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"408e90af\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Tasks:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Organize and facilitate committee meetings between partners (via Zoom until futher notice);<\/li><li>Ensure logistical and administrative support for the delivery, implementation and evaluation of action plans;<\/li><li>Support employees dedicated to each committee;<\/li><li>Continue to mobilize community partners;<\/li><li>Coordinate and ensure communication with and between partners;<\/li><li>Act as the communication link between partners and funders, as well as provide budget monitoring;<\/li><li>Lead selection committees and working groups.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Desired profile:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Human or Social Sciences, or other relevant education\/training<\/li><li>At least 3 years of experience in a coordination position or other related position<\/li><li>An excellent command of the French language, both written and spoken, is required. Good written and spoken communication skills in English are strongly desired<\/li><li>Experience in planning and facilitating collective work<\/li><li>Very good knowledge of the dynamics of working in a coalition and of the community sector<\/li><li>Strong communication skills and an ability to identify the commonalities of diverging points of view<\/li><li>An autonomous and adaptable person who works easily as part of a team<\/li><li>Creative and dynamic individual<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Assets:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Knowledge of the challenges faced by families and youth in an urban setting<\/li><li>Knowledge of the Peter-McGill district<\/li><li>\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Work conditions: <\/strong><\/p><ul><li>30 hours per week, for a one year contract starting on November 23rd, 2020<\/li><li>2-week training from November 23rd to December 4th, 2020<\/li><li>Hourly rate between 22,24$ and 23,35$ according to the organization\u2019s salary scale<\/li><li>Remote work until further notice; possibility to go back to the office progressively depending on the evolution of public health measures<\/li><li>We encourage work-family balance<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>How to apply:<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Please email your CV and a cover letter by November 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, 2020 to : <\/strong><a href=\"mailto:communications@petermcgill.org\"><strong>communications@petermcgill.org<\/strong><\/a><strong> with the subject line \u201cYouth and Family Coordinator Application\u201d.
