class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Peter-McGill Citizen&#8217;s Journal is looking for candidates for the intern position of Publications Manager.<\/span><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Citizen\u2019s Journal is a co-operative journal that strives to promote the voices and opinions of the residents of Peter-McGill in the Ville-Marie borough.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Journal is open to all residents and friends of the neighbourhood and accepts multimedia forms of publication.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><h3><b>Description of the position:<\/b><\/h3><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Publications Manager will be in charge of receiving submissions, editing and accepting submissions as well as publication of said submissions on our various platforms.<\/span><\/p><p><b>Roles and responsibilities:<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Receive and manage submissions (communicating with Citizen Journalists, editing submissions, publishing submissions on social media)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop calls for submissions<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop and implement a recruitment strategy<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Develop branding, logo and aesthetic<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manage social media<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><b>Qualities\/skills\/expertise we are looking for:<\/b><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bilingual (ability to read and edit submissions in French and English, ability to communicate with Journalists in French or English)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Passion for local issues, advocacy and community wellbeing<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Experience with\/openness to learning how to use Canva and Adobe Illustrator<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comfort and moderate skills with graphic design (ability to render submissions aesthetically pleasing through graphics and visuals)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creativity (ability to think of creative ways to reach residents and of presenting publications)<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ability to work independently and ask for help when needed<\/span><\/li><\/ul><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Duration of the position: October 1st &#8211; December 30th, approximately 12 hours a month (flexible)<\/span><\/h4><h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pay:
